Hello My name is
TPDGmashley
My friends call me Ashley

I live in the U.S.A.

Everyone always asks if I'm a girl or a guy, and I'm definitely a girl. These pictures are from my wedding. I got married to Tom Fearer July 23, 2005. He's everything I'm not and then some, which is a good thing! I've lived in the Toledo, Ohio area all of my life and would love to live in Seattle, Washington if ever given the opportunity. Sadly however, on June 10, 2001 I was in a horrific head-on car truck accident. I ran into the front end of a semi-truck while trying to pass another semi-truck. NO, I wasn't drunk. I never drink and drive. Never have, and never will. The sun was coming down, so they assume that is why I thought I had the time to pass and didn't see the truck coming. I don't remember the accident, the doctors think I never will.

This is the long part and I apologize for that, but I've never found the words to shorten it up. I was lifelighted to the Medical College of Ohio (now called the Medical University of Ohio and connected to the University of Toledo). I was in a coma 7 1/2 weeks, hospital 3 1/2 months and then went to out patient therapy at MCO Works an out patient rehabilitation center for 7 1/2 months. At the time, everyone thought with the right training I would be able to work again, so I was sent to the GoodWill building in downtown Toledo and went thru a three month job evaluation to see what job I could handle doing.

At the time, they thought I could become a data entry specialist so I went through 8 1/2 months of training and graduated with a data entry certificate. I then took a year off to give myself time to prepare for my wedding, which was in July of 2005. I thought if I was given a year to take time to recoup and learn life on my own it would be the ticket to success. I was married, and still am happily, but unable to work still. I've become a stay at home wife who really isn't that safe in front of the stove!

I can read much better now and walk a short distance, so I run errands and keep house. It's not quite the life I thought I would live, but nothing ever is. I'm just taking it day by day and hope one day down the road I can work again.
